2026 America+ Campus Action
America + Campus Action
America + Campus Action (ACA) is A+CA's(American Plus Cultural and Art Association) annual youth competition initiative and one of the organization's long-term nonprofit programs.
The initiative is designed to provide young people with an international platform that brings together art, technology, urban studies, environmental awareness, and cross-cultural exchange. Participants are encouraged to explore the connections between society, culture, and the natural environment through artistic creation, photography, design, and research, while expressing their ideas for the future through creativity and innovation.
As a long-term initiative of A+CA, America + Campus Action (ACA) presents a new annual theme each year, encouraging young people to connect art with community engagement, environmental stewardship, interdisciplinary learning, and creative problem-solving.
Brightening Kissena Baseball Field
Mural Competition
America + Campus Action is A+CA's (American Plus Cultural and Art Association)annual youth competition initiative and one of the organization's long-term nonprofit programs. Through art, education, and community engagement, ACA encourages young people to explore society, culture, and the environment while developing creativity, leadership, and a sense of social responsibility.
The 2026 program is primarily open to residents of Queens, New York, with a special invitation to K–12 students (Kindergarten through Grade 12). College students, artists, educators, and community members are also warmly encouraged to participate.
This mural competition aims to foster collaboration among artists, students, schools, and local communities. Through public art, participants are encouraged to express their creativity, enrich community culture, and contribute to vibrant and welcoming public spaces.
Selected winning designs will be further developed under the guidance of professional artists and transformed into a community mural on the street-facing exterior wall of the Kissena Park Baseball Field in Queens, New York, bringing young artists' creativity into the heart of the community.
2026 Theme: Baseball
Often referred to as "America's Pastime," baseball is more than one of the nation's most beloved sports. It represents the rich history, culture, and community spirit of the United States.
Built upon trust, teamwork, perseverance, and responsibility, baseball demonstrates the power of collaboration—from every coordinated defensive play to every determined run toward Home Plate. It reminds us that lasting success is achieved through working together toward a shared goal.
This year's theme invites young artists to transform the values of baseball—including teamwork, community spirit, and perseverance—into meaningful works of public art that celebrate both sport and community.
Lighting Up the Community Through Art
Through this competition, A+CA hopes to inspire young artists to express the teamwork, community values, and positive spirit found in baseball through creative artistic expression.
Winning designs will be transformed into a community mural at the Kissena Park Baseball Field, creating a vibrant public artwork that enriches the neighborhood and strengthens the connection between art, community, and everyday life.
We believe every artwork has the power not only to beautify public spaces, but also to promote teamwork, community engagement, environmental stewardship, and cultural understanding—encouraging everyone to appreciate, care for, and contribute to the public spaces we share.
